Today’s Blade of the Day is the Smith & Wesson Military & Police (SWMP) number 3. These little spring assisted knives are fantastic. I carried one of them for about six months. The spring mechanism is triggered by pulling on the spine flipper toggle. You pull the trigger down and it starts to open the blade. As the blade starts to open, the spring kicks in and it snaps into the locked open position. The entire series of 3’s are absolutely fantastic knives from Smith & Wesson. Check them out.
